Reminders

Happy Monday!
Just a quick reminder that our kiddos have their Mid-module math assessment tomorrow! They have completed their study guides which they should study tonight and we spent our math block today reviewing all required material. Also, we sent home a notice about the website "XtraMath" which can be a resource for your child to help increase speed and accuracy in arithmetic. We encourage you to follow the directions on the notice that we've sent home to access this helpful tool :).

Weekly Update

Hi Families!
Our last week of September was filled with fun activities and lots of new math material! Johnny Appleseed Day was a success and our homemade applesauce was delicious. The kids enjoyed moving throughout our third grade classrooms and participating in different curriculum based activities. In math we moved onto lessons 8-10 in our Eureka curriculum and have completed review sheets in addition to the "problem sets/homework" assignments. I encourage you to follow the Youtube links to access helpful videos that can provide you with a review of the lessons and answers to the assignments, so you can better assist your child :). We have a Mid-module assessment this Tuesday covering lessons 1-10. Be sure to have your child study the review packet that will come home with them Monday.  Have an amazing weekend!

Johnny Appleseed Day!

                                                       
   

Dear Parents,

Next Monday, September 26th, the whole Third Grade will be celebrating Johnny Appleseed's birthday! During this time, the classes will be rotating to each classroom to participate in different cross curricular activities. To make this day successful, we need your help!
We would like for each child to bring in ONE apple. In the morning, every class will be peeling and cutting their apples to make homemade applesauce. YUMMY!
To help celebrate this day, we would LOVE to see the third grade kiddos dress up in either green, red, or yellow.
